ValueTools 2019 focuses on methodologies and practices in modelling, performance evaluation and optimization of complex systems. It brings tog ether researchers from different communities including Computer Science, Networks and Telecommunications, Operations Research, Optimization, Control Theory and Manufacturing. ValueTools2019 solicits previously unpublished contributions that propose new performance evaluation methodologies and new tools.

Valuetools 2019 solicits papers describing original and novel research on, but not limited to, the following topics:

Important dates and submission types

Regular papers (8 pages)  and Tool papers (6 pages) submission:

* Abstract submission: The deadline for abstracts (September 28, 2018) has been removed. Authors _do not_ have to submit an abstract before their full-papers. However, authors are strongly encouraged to submit a preliminary abstract in order to facilitate the review process. 
* Paper submission: October 19, 2018 (extended deadline)

Posters and Fast Abstracts submission (2 pages):   November 5th, 2018

Notification of acceptance:  December 10th, 2018
Camera ready: January 20th, 2019

Workshops (full or half day) and Tutorials (1-3 hours) proposal submission (2 pages):   Septem ber 15th, 2018
Notification of acceptance for Workshops and Tutorials:   September 30th, 2018

Authors of a selection of best papers will be given the opportunity to submit an extended version of their work for publication in a special issue of the journal Performance Evaluation (https://www.journals.elsevier.com/performance-evaluation).
